A lot of this website is about who Feet on The Street is, as a youth church, as a family, as a community. But 2015 has seen an exciting surge of opportunities for the growing and thriving FOTS family to take who we ARE as passionate lovers of Jesus and spread it far and wide.
Last month God led us to connect with two churches in Connecticut, one in Stamford, and one in Norwalk. And for the first time, Feet on the Street organized a travel crew of worship team members and a few others to share what God is doing here in our little community with folks in a completely different culture. Our crew led two different services, and we had 2 days of exciting opportunities to encourage, build up and celebrate what Jesus has done in our lives with new friends and connections in Connecticut! (And we had the great opportunity of stopping by the beach on the way back to PA, which was the first time seeing and touching the ocean for some in our group). Check out all our photos, either on this site or on our FOTS Facebook page! And here is a video of the two day adventure!
This month (May), just last week, we had the awesome opportunity to take the living Hope of Jesus into Reading High School! One of our student leaders, Reading HS Senior, Sterling Youngtrapp organized an after school pep rally he named: Hope Alive. The event was a great success! We met and encouraged students and faculty, rocked out with worship songs, shared testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives, and unashamedly declared, hope, freedom and truth over the High School and the city of Reading. Many lives were touched, some gave their hearts to Christ and were saved! Check out photos here! And here is the video:
This month also saw the departure of our first sent missionary. After many months of helping her raise funds for a 6 month volunteer missionary venture, we sadly said our farewells to Kelly Mañana during the first week of May as she traveled cross country to begin her YWAM missions training school in our West Coast sister city of Redding, CA! She will be missed, but we were excited to send her and share the awesome work God has been doing here in our family on Front Street Reading, with other parts of the country, and soon other parts of the world!
This year will also see the first ever Feet On The Street, international mission trip! Plans are in the making for an October trip to Nicaragua!
Yay God! We love you and our lives are yours! Continue filling us with your Love and Light! Send us wherever you want to send us, across the street, or across the world! We pray that your name and your glory would be made known through our lives!
